Students Receive 2018 Scholarship Awards

The Barr Street High School Foundation is pleased to announce that Jaren Watts and Semaj Digby are the 2018 recipients of our annual scholarship awards.
Jaren is a 2018 graduate of Lancaster High School. He plans to attend Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC. He is the son of Rodney and Anita Watts.
Semaj is a 2018 graduate of Andrew Jackson High School. He plans to attend the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. He is the son of James Dibgy and Josephine Cooper.
The Barr Street High School Foundation, Inc. was formed in 2011 with the mission to perpetuate the historical legacy, educational traditions and cultural heritage of Lancaster Training School and Barr Street High School. For the community the Foundation serves as a reminder of a school that served its students from 1921 to 1970 with great pride.
The nonprofit organization, through its donors, has now awarded scholarships to graduating seniors in the Lancaster School District for five consecutive years.
